Our Commitments
  • Actively participate weekly on the OJR group and PLP Ning.
  • Work with web2.0 tools (tagging things in delicious, twitter for our group, the ning, wikispace)
  • Attend face-to-face OJR PLP meetings or Skype in or input to the team meeting.

Learning Goals

  • Share our PLP learning monthly with our Progressive Technology Group.
  • Learn together and develop a plan to scale this out to OJR.
  • Develop a plan for creating communities of practice and support in the buildings for teachers.

  • Promote teacher buy in
  • Work with the team to formulate a goal/mission statement so we have a common purpose.
  • Create an environment of shared practice and culture in respect to technology and learning.
  • Determine how we promote a shift in instruction.
  • Create and be a vehicle to disseminate technology and learning practices.
  • The work we do will be relevant and meaningful to our students and teachers.
  • Agree on one thing to incorporate by school year's end...baby steps.
  • Plan for a trickle down effect from our PLP to staff for 21st century strategies.
Tier 2.
  • Incorporate practices seamlessly in the curriculum.
  • Identify web2.0 resource to use widely in the district and promote and train staff in its effective usage.
  • Consider our kids as our customers in terms of how we interact/communicate versus product.
  • We will work toward engaging digital natives and immigrants and bridge the gap between them.

  • We will communicate via blog, forums online as much as possible between face to face meetings.
